Quickstart Guide

This Quickstart Guide assumes its' reader has a basic level of competence with the Liferay portal. As such it will not cover Liferay management topics such as how to create pages or add or remove portlet applications to a page.

Installation

The MyEvents portlet comes in the form of a Web Application Archive. It may be installed by copying to the <liferay-install-path>/deploy folder or via Control Panel > Plugins Installation > Install More Portlets > Upload File.

Configuration

The MyEvents portlet only has three configuration options. These are found on the portlet's preferences page, which is accessed via the Portlet Options context menu.

Page Size

Determines the number of events displayed by the portlet per "page".

Coverage Period

Specifies the number of days (from the current date) the portlet will display events from.

Maximise for details

If set to "true" the portlet will expand in to a maximised/full page state when displaying an event's details.

Generate Logs

If set to "true" the portlet will generate logging information when calculating events for the user(s) that access this portlet instance.
